Gators DE Dominique Easley fine after knee scare in Tennessee game
by Jason Lieser
Late in Florida’s 37-20 win at Neyland Stadium on Saturday, it looked as though DE Dominique Easley reinjured his left knee.
Easley went down and was grabbing that knee, the same one in which he tore his ACL near the end of last season. He needed help getting off the field.
After the game, coach Will Muschamp believed there was no issue. He said the training staff already informed him that Easley was “fine” and that it was actually his right knee.
“He tweaked his knee a little bit, but it’s not the injured knee,” Muschamp said.
The only other significant injury news for Florida is that RT Chaz Green missed the game due to an undisclosed ankle injury. Kyle Koehne started in his place.
RB Mike Gillislee is battling a strained muscle in his groin, but it did not seem like much of a hindrance as he rushed for 115 yards on 18 carries against the Volunteers.
